Use it

Each and every board that leaves our workshop is made to last. They are made with beautiful and durable wood designed to be used daily. Don’t keep it for ‘best’ as you won’t get the best out of it. Enjoy it and love using it. That first mark on the wood is the first of many to come.


Regular care

Before any board leaves the workshop, it will have had at least three coat of a food safe wax-oil. This not only makes the grain on the board look beautiful, it creates a barrier to repel liquids from the wood. The best way to keep your board looking great and keep it easy to clean is to regularly apply a food safe oil such as our Board Conditioner or a mineral oil. Doing this will help protect the board from stains, help reduce the board absorbing water and reduce the risk of cracking.

Apply a generous amount of the chosen oil and let it soak in for 30 minutes to an hour and then wipe off any surplus.


Top Tips

Never let you board soak in water when cleaning it. This is how the board soaks up water and where cracks can start to appear as it dries.

Wash with soap and warm water, rinse and give it a thorough dry.

Do not let i dry next to a hot cooker or in the hot sun.

Don’t leave moist food on it for long periods of time as this can cause the board to stain if it absorbs moisture from the food.
